The Department of Aeronautics has "general supervision over all phases of aeronautics within the state". This includes protecting the interests of those engaged in all phases of aeronautics. (Ala. Code, 4-2-33 [1975]). Even though the Department of Agriculture and Industries now regulates the aerial application of pesticides (Ala. Acts, 1957, page 3177 [1971]), the Department of Aeronautics still is involved with the Aerial Applicator Association, a trade association. This series consists of correspondence files, a constitution of the organization, and files on agriculture pilot schools.
